SPARK UP YOUR WEDDING SHOES WITH COLORS

Growing up as a little girl that loves to attend weddings and seeing beautiful brides, I was so used to seeing all white. From a white dress to white shoes, white veil, gloves, clutches, all accessories.

Today the story has changed. Brides now add a little bit of colors to their outfit but I still see some white shoes on white dress, ivory on ivory. Add a little sparkle to your wedding outfit by wearing some colored shoes with a crystal broch for an added vavavoom.....wink

If the shoes you finally got for your dress does not have crystals or broch, then you can do some DIY by buying some crystal or swavroski balls from a craft shop and some E600 glue, with this you can achieve a whole new and customised shoes.

I will make a DIY wedding shoes next week. So watchout for that...

NON STRAPLESS WEDDING DRESSES ARE BACK

The strapless wedding dresses no doubt had a fair stay. Many brides had to get Bolero or detachable straps and many more for their dresses. For some brides, its just a big headache to get the most appropriate piece to fit your dress and also fit your body as a whole. There are so many non strapless wedding gowns that are sexy, classy and decent for the most memorable occasion. This is one of the wedding trends of 2014!

Nigeria wedding venues: Things you need to know

It is really easy to love a reception venue after attending a friend's party there but i tell you its all just beauty at first sight.Wherever you are planning your wedding from, it is important to question all your wedding vendors especially reception managers about room capacities and house rules. Take note so you can compare different places to make your decision. Here are the key points to cover in your meetings with wedding venue managers.

  • Does the venue have a changing room where the couple can relax and change there dresses
  • Does the venue have accommodation in case of guests coming in from outside town. Example of such venue is Martinos at Jobi Fele way, Ikeja
  • Is the enough parking space for guests to park their cars and if its attract a fee
  • Does the rental fee include hairs, table, and table linens
  • Is there a space for caterers to use inside or outside the hall
  • What are the cancellation and refund policies
  • Do i have to pay for security
After knowing all this points you can then decide on a contract with them. Read the contract carefully before signing it. The contract should include all appropriate points from the answers to your questions. If the contract contains anything you don't understand or did not expect and you are not happy with, ask the venue manager to alter it before you sign it and pay the deposit

Wedding day disappointments

I spent my weekend far away in south western part of Nigeria and it was for a wedding. Remember i told you about Red and Teal wedding, it was indeed a fabulous wedding. The decoration was gorgeous and the couple looked really cool. I always tell couple that is planning a wedding to always prepare for one thing that will go wrong. No matter how professional and good your planner is, something will sha go wrong. At this saturday wedding, one thing that went wrong was that the air conditioners became faulty and the whole 800 capacity hall was hot(on fire), guests started stepping out for fresh air and then came the stand fans to save the day. Everyone felt better but one thing that was really affected was the decoration, because the windows had to be opened and all the lights effects was jeopardized. When you are planning your wedding, it is important to make sure everything is on point but when disappointment comes on the wedding day, just put it on your mind that "my marriage life is the most important step" every other thing is secondary. Plan well, Have fun, dont be dissapointed

Nigerian wedding: Teal and Red

I am a big fan of teal and its also one of my favourite colors. I have been invited as a guest to a wedding this saturday and the wedding colors are teal red and gold. The aso ebi is teal lace and teal velvet, oh i love the combination and the headgear is tomato red. I just look forward to the decoration of the reception venue with the mix of the two colors. All other juicy gist, trends and offcourse the bride and groom, will be coming your way after the party.
