Making sure of one important thing

If you hear this phrase 'the party was good or the party was interesting' that means the person ate and drank well.
I attended a wedding yesterday at Surulere, it was a big society wedding, music was by the commander himself Chief Ebenezer Obey, and it was so colourful with nice decoration and details BUT the food didn't go round at all. Almost 1/3rd of the invited guests were not served, while some left hungry and angry, some decided to lobby for small chops......lol.
Seriously we need to be careful about some of our vendors and maybe its just the planning that didn't work. What i noticed at that party was that, there was enough food for all but there was no proper coordination of the food serving. So, please if you are planning your wedding, kindly make sure to make proper arrangement with your caterer and outline how the food should be served or just save yourself the work by giving the job to an event coordination company. Weight loss before wedding

I will like to share with you my own story then will mention few ways in which you can loose weight before wedding.
My wedding date was picked four months before the date and that means i have limited time to do any weight loss plan, so i just did not bother but at the same time i did not want to look fat on the wedding day. I got my dress and it was a lil tight on me but i didn't mind and i loved it, but by the time i tried it on on the wedding day, it was a lil loose on me and i bet i was looking so stressed and i did not do any weight loss plan.

Here are my tips, if you plan to loose weight before your wedding day;

• If you are in a serious relationship now, create a healthy lifestyle that will not only help you now but also in the future
• Immediately you pick a date, make sure you start your diet plan immediately
• Take a lot of water so as to hydrate you and also give your skin that lil glow (*wink)
• when you are going out for your shopping make sure you have healthy snacks in your bag e.g Apples
• Try to take the stairs rather than taking the elevator when out for shopping
• Eat more of vegetables and protein
• Do some dance practices and that will serve as your dance aerobics. Note: Dancing is a good exercise. so you can get some dance hit mix from your DJ for the wedding
• Eat smaller portions
• Have a diary for you diet plan and work out plan
• Let you partner be your text buddy. i.e text him daily your daily food intake and routine. He will be glad to encourage and support you more
• Sleep and rest very well.

My Nigerian wedding

We have heard gist of so many couples that planned their Nigerian wedding from outside Nigeria and everything/details worked out so well. However, some have been disappointed by their wedding planners. Wherever you are in the world, and you are planning your wedding from there, please make sure you check out your vendor's authenticity before giving out the contract because just checking out about them on the web might not give you the guarantee you need.

Getting a good wedding film company is very important. Your wedding Photographs and video documentary brings back some memories of your wedding day. When you meet your wedding videographer, make sure you give him the list of some important clips that you will like to have. Eg Dressing up in the morning, walking down the Aisle, Dance with my father, cutting of the cake, my Mum and I.

Do that and save some more money for HONEYMOON

Fixing your wedding dress strap/covering your body

I met a bride yesterday at a wedding store in Ikeja and all i could see was a worried pretty bride, then, i approached her to know whats going on and then she explained that her wedding is on saturdat the 28th and she's been told by the officiating minister that they would not allow Bolero on her wedding dress and thats the onlything  that she's got for her dress. Fortunately we were able to help her fix her bolero as the inner wear i.e she will be weaing her dress on the boler. Shikena.
There are a few ways in which you can fix a strap on your dress or have your body covered.
1. When ordering your dress, request for a little extra fabric from the designer
2, Get a bolero that can equally work as the inner
3. Get the inner top instead of your Bolero, because sometimes the Bolero looks like you are wearing a jacket on a dress
4. You can do some DIY with some of your bridal accessories so consider that when shopping

Hello to all 9ja brides to be. I say a big congratulations to you and your partner. Choosing the right partner and getting married is one BOLD step we all need to take someday.
